Overview
Crysis 2 is a third person shooter in which we take the role of a marine named Alcatraz, who was on his way to rescue Dr Gould but their submarine was attacked by an unknown alien species known as ceph. As he was about to count his last breath he was rescued by prophet who was the bearer of a Nanotech suit far superior and self evolving .Since his health was in a grave state he entrusted the suit and his hopes to save the earth onto Alcatraz.
Plot
United States Marine Corps Force Recon unit deployed into New York City On 23,August,2013 by the submarine USS Nautilus to rescue a former Crynet employee Doctor named Nathan Gould, who may posses vital information on combating the alien race. However, their rescue goes awry when the Ceph, the alien race that is trying to eliminate humanity strike the submarine sinking it, Mortally wounding Force Recon Marine. Prophet saves Alcatraz and is forced to kill himself in order for his Nanosuit to assimilate and revive Alcatraz. A recording left in the suit reveals that Prophet had been infected by the Manhattan virus, and now Alcatraz has to finish Prophet's mission which was to rescue humanity from the alien invasion.Having Believing Alcatraz is Prophet, Gould soon gets in contact with Alcatraz and asks him to meet up at Gould's lab. However, CELL forces, led by Commander Dominic Lockhart, target and attack Alcatraz, believing him to be Prophet. While on his way to Gould's laboratory, Alcatraz collects alien tissue samples from a crashed Ceph dropship and a Ceph soldier, which cause strange reactions within his Nanosuit, giving him some alien abilities. Alcatraz eventually meets with Gould, who is initially hostile after learning that he is not Prophet. However the last suit recording of Prophet's message causes Gould to relent, prompting Gould to explain that the suit has been busy rewriting its own code after absorbing the Ceph's tissue, now it is up to him to save humanity.
Gameplay
Crysis 2 is a third person game which navigate through new York, in which we assume the role of Alcatraz Who is equipped with a nanosuite which is self-evolving and adapting, it can be used to become cloaked (invisible) in Cloak Mode mostly for stealth attacks or if you want to go against a large group of soldiers the most suitable mode is Armored mode during which most of the bullets get deflected as soon as they hit the suit and last but not the least if you want to kick a car in order to injure the enemy you can do it with power mode and many more advantages, it also provides freedom to customize weapons and armors .Hence all these things make it one of the best First person shooter.
