Overview

Need for Speed : Most Wanted is a n open world Racing  game which was developed by EA Canada and was published by Electronic Arts. It is said to be the ninth installment in the Need for Speed series. The game features street racing-oriented game play in which police can appear at end of any street in order to catch the street racers, there are certain customization options from the Need for Speed: Underground series. It gives the player to freely roam the world and to discover new hiding spots in order to evade the police.

Plot

The game starts with the player arriving in Rockport City, with the BMW M3 GTR which is the players car, following Mia Townsend. The player character tries to proves his driving skill to her , However, when the duo stops at an intersection in Downtown Rockport, they draw the attention of a veteran police sergeant named Nathan Cross who blocks his path with his police issued Chevrolet Corvette C6. As Mia quickly flees, Cross and his female partner confront the player and his car, in an attempt of wanting to seize it due to the fact that the car is not street legal, as well as informing the player that he's putting an end to street racing in Rockport. However before he can arrest the player, a call comes over the radio about a high speed pursuit nearby, and he is requested to assist the chase. Cross reluctantly   with great disdain lets the player go, but still warns the player by saying  that next time, you he won't be so lucky and  leaves a huge scratches the side of the BMW with his car key as he leaves. Races seem to be in the player go in the character's favor against the Blacklist which are known as a group of the fifteen most notorious drivers wanted by the Rockport Police Department. That is until their latest member "Razor" Callahan , sabotages the M3 GTR and wins the player character's car in a pink slip race because of which he has lost the possession of his Car. After the M3 GTR is towed away. After that Razor and the other blacklist members are mock the player ,but the Rockport police arrives, forcing everyone to flee. But since he had no car to escape in, the player is arrested by Cross, but is released later due to a lack of evidence. Mia then picks up the player character and then informs him about Razor's new status as #1 on the Blacklist which was hugely credited to the players car. She then helps the player by assisting him to acquire a new car and helping the player character work his way up the Blacklist and reclaim the title of #1 on Blacklist Racers.

Gameplay

Most Wanted is like most of the games of The Need for Speed games series, where the player selects one car and races against a time limit or reaching the finish line. In the game the police chases have once again been integrated into certain racing. In the game the police employ vehicles and tactics to stop the player's car or stop its movement by laying roadblocks and arrest the player. As the story proceeds and the player take control of faster cars and increasingly rely on nitrous oxide speed boosts which also refills automatically for the first time since its introduction in Underground, and driving sequences become fast-paced and intense similar to the Burnout series. In the fictional world of the game there are three distinct regions which are offered in the city of Rockport, along with changes in weather in different regions. Racing events always take place between sunrise and sunset during daytime only. One of the most highlighting feature of the game is that we can customize our car in various ways ranging from roof ,spoilers, body design ,engines , nitrous oxide and hoods. In the game the player can own various vehicles at the same time with each car having its own advantages. The car shop also gives the player choice between various vehicles of the most renowned Brands. There are many types of races in which we can compete. During blacklist races we are given to choose two option ,we can even ask for pink slip of our opponents car so we can become its owner.
